Conscious Connected Breathing

Conscious Connected Breathing, or CCB, is a technique that involves intentionally and deeply breathing in a continuous flow, without holding or pausing, to induce a state of heightened awareness and emotional release. It's often practiced with a guided breathwork facilitator focusing on using the diaphragm and expanding into the chest and belly. The goal is to tap into a deeper state of consciousness and connect with emotions and experiences that may be hidden or repressed.

The breathwork is done with intention and awareness, focusing on the breath as it moves through the body. The breaths are linked together without pauses or breaks, creating a continuous flow of energy.

Conscious connected breathwork can help release suppressed emotions, stress, and tension. By focusing on the breath, practitioners can develop greater self-awareness and mindfulness. Some practitioners report experiencing altered states of consciousness, such as feelings of connection to something greater than themselves.

Conscious connected breathwork can help bridge the gap between the physical body and the mind, promoting a sense of wholeness.

Diverse types of experiences

1) The first type of experience is a sensory experience, where various sensations can occur in your body. You might feel hot, then cold, or completely numb.

2) The second type is a biographical experience. People often recall past events where they felt overwhelmed and didn’t fully process their emotions. To release these, allow yourself to experience and express whatever emotions arise. For example, tense all your muscles, then let go of the tension. In breathwork, your body might instinctively cry or express anger through sounds. Using a pillow to muffle your cries can help if you can't make loud noises. You might also experience tetany, where your hands or toes stiffen, which can be a healing process that releases stuck energy and emotions.

3) The third type is a transpersonal experience beyond the personal realm. These can include feelings of floating among the stars or sensing connections with others. People often gain insights into troubling issues during these experiences.

4) The fourth type is a Yogic Sleep State, in which you appear to be asleep but are actually in deep relaxation. This state can lead to an enlightening experience in which you lose track of time and feel very present afterward.
